A Message to Our Nest Residents: Nest DC's Commitment to Resident & Community Safety

Nest DC

A Message to Our Nest Residents:

Being a resident of Washington, DC and the DMV is exciting. No doubt about it. Some excitement we could do without. Like you, we too are worried about the elections. We're concerned as citizens, as neighbors, and team members. We're taking important steps to ensure everyone is feeling secure and has a plan.

  • Prepare to hang out at home for a few days
  • Prepare for congestion and changing traffic patterns
  • Get at least basic emergency gear (always a good idea), including:
  • Flashlights
  • Backup batteries
  • Utility knife
  • First aid kit (You'll thank me one day when you need a bandaid!)
  • Prepare for delays. If it's tricky for you to get around, it will be for everyone in the region, especially in the city. We have vendors on standby for emergencies (think fire, flood, blood). Anything that can wait may need to wait, depending on circumstances.
  • Prepare for joy. The votes aren't counted. We can do this. If we give a bit of time.

The theme here is to prepare and get active. We wish all of our neighbors, community, and country a great election.
